Reverie Language Technologies, which provides local languages localisation solutions to businesses, has launched a voice suite comprising of 12 Indian languages called Gopal.
This voice suite, which has been in the works for the past year, can be integrated by enterprises for both chatbots and IVR (Interactive voice response) solutions to improve its engagement among its non-English speaking customers.

At launch, Gopal can comprehend user queries and deduce intent for any of the 12 supported languages that includes Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Assamese, Odia, Punjabi, and Indian English.
The suite’s speech recognition engine can also recognize various accents and dialects within these languages, the company said in a statement.
The IVR automation solution, which is powered by Reverie’s proprietary ASR (Automated Speech Recognition), can also function as an input tool, providing voice typing by converting speech into text, the Bengaluru-based firm said.
“As hundreds of millions of Indians access the internet for the first time, they are presented with platforms featuring unfamiliar user interface. Iconography is often alien to these users, and what mature users would see as intuitive, needs to be spelt out to them”, said Arvind Pani, Co-Founder & CEO of Reverie Language Technologies.
Pani has been quoted in the report saying that the suite is currently being piloted by enterprises across various sectors like telecom, BFSI and e-commerce apart from various government agencies, and has been tested for banking apps and mobile recharges, although he declined to disclose specific details on it.
