Hotstar, India’s largest streaming platform and the official online destination for ISL Season 4, clocked a record opening night with over 3 times more viewers tuning in, compared to the previous season in 2016, reports AdAge India.

In addition to more people tuning in, the opening match recorded a 5X increase in total time spent (minutes watched) compared to the opening match of Season 3. Season 4 promises to be bigger than any season yet, with hotly contested matches, brand new teams eager to make a mark, which is excellent news for football fans in India.
