Hitachi to expand Social Innovation Business in India through Hitachi MGRM Net

As per reports Hitachi is set to expand social innovation business in India through Hitachi MGRM Net.

MGRM Net offers domain expert applications, solutions and services to public and private sectors in India. It also markets and implements the state of the art e-Governance Systems licensed by its parent company MGRM Holding Inc, USA.

Hitachi is reported to have said the new entity will combine the experience and expertise of the two companies to develop and provide new solutions and services that contribute to ‘Digital India’, along with their respective IT and IoT technologies.

The entity was formed by acquiring part of MGRM Net that is involved in the IT service business in India. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

It aims to provide citizen lifecycle e-governance solutions to the government across the fields of education, healthcare, agriculture, labour, and insurance. Hitachi MGRM Net will also enable to create a smart social environment in the future, the company said in a statement.

“Along with the acceleration of digitalization all over the world, Hitachi is focusing on Social Innovation Business in order to solve social issues and customers’ challenges by utilizing IoT platform ‘Lumada’” said Toshiaki Higashihara, President and CEO of Hitachi Ltd.

“As a result of a strong collaborative relationship with MGRM Net, we would be working on the e-Governance including administration services for the Indian government. We will undertake collaborative creation with partners to develop and provide solutions to the issues” added Bharat Kaushal, Managing Director of Hitachi India.
