Indians to lead in post-Covid adoption of digital payments
Usage of digital payments in the post-Covid period is set to be the highest among Indians at 75%, followed by China at 63% and Italy at 19%, according to an 11-country survey conducted by Capgemini. In India about 80% of the older consumers in the age bracket of 56 years plus have switched to digital payments!

E-comm marketplaces say they recorded the highest-ever sales of board games after sale of non-essential items in certain markets was allowed. Indians also topped the list for most number of downloads of apps for ludo and carrom and downloads peaked at 197 million in the week to April 18–when lockdown was extended– up 75% from the weekly average in Q4 of 2019.

Online orders for groceries are being driven by utility as 80 per cent of those who ordered online during lockdown did it for convenience as opposed to price and selection, according to a survey by LocalCircles.
Paytm Mall Records 1.5X Demand in Electronics+ Mobile phones
Demand for electronic products, specially mobile devices and accessories, has surged around 1.5 times on Paytm Mall after the government allowed online sales in orange and green zones. Overall, the demand for products in non-essential categories has grown two-folds compared to March sales.
