Google Gemini dominates India’s AI influencer ecosystem:

Google Gemini has established a commanding lead over rivals ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity across India’s AI content creation ecosystem, significantly outperforming competitors in influencer collaborations and engagement, according to a report by influencer intelligence platform Qoruz. Positioning Gemini in its top “Leader” quadrant alongside ChatGPT, the analysis shows Google’s AI model driving superior post volume and audience interaction across micro, nano, and macro creator tiers.

Gemini’s lead is particularly pronounced in creator volume, recording 22.9K posts from micro-influencers (10K–100K followers) compared to ChatGPT’s 6.8K. It similarly led among nano-creators with 7.6K posts versus 2.5K, and macro-creators with 6.6K posts against 3.9K. The platform also dominated key content categories, registering 11.5K posts in Arts & Entertainment (vs. 2.8K for ChatGPT), while commanding top share across Beauty, Lifestyle, Fashion, Tech & Gadgets, and Health & Fitness.

Short-form video drove the majority of ecosystem activity, with Gemini logging 27.8K Reels compared to ChatGPT’s 9.1K, alongside 7.8K Carousel posts versus 3.5K. The data indicates that Google’s targeted creator outreach has yielded higher participation and deeper audience engagement across Indian social platforms.

70% Of Top Retailers Are Invisible To Agentic Commerce

Agentic commerce is here. But our audit of product pages from leading brands found 70% currently don’t meet Google’s Universal Commerce Protocol for AI selling.

Ecommerce is entering a new phase – one where transactions can happen entirely off-site, making website visits optional, if not redundant. If your ecommerce and SEO teams are still playing the old game, there could be trouble ahead.

Of course, I’m talking about agentic commerce, where the entire customer journey – from discovery to checkout – can happen within AI. And boy do things move quickly!

In September 2025, OpenAI and Stripe announced their Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP), allowing customers to not only research and decide which product to buy, but also complete single-item transactions right there in the chat with Instant Checkout.

AI agents can now shop, book and even pay for you using UPI autonomously

Pine Labs says its P3P system lets AI agents complete UPI payments after one upfront authorisation. The move could expand autonomous shopping on UPI even as RBI rules remain undefined.

Artificial intelligence is moving beyond answering questions, writing code, and creating images. A new category of AI called AI agents has arrived. It is a kind of system which is designed to do tasks autonomously. Unlike regular AI chatbots that simply respond to prompts, AI agents can complete entire tasks. You could ask one to find the cheapest flight for you, make the booking, and even add the trip to your calendar. But in India, AI agents have so far faced one major limitation. They can browse, recommend, compare, and decide. But when it comes to making a payment, every AI agent hits the same wall — human authentication.

AI is scaling retail media creative, but community signals may determine whether it actually works

Generative AI is making it easier for retailers and brands to produce more advertising, more quickly and in more formats – yet new research suggests that the volume of creative being generated is increasing much faster than its quality.

As retail media networks expand across retailer websites, apps, stores, connected television, social platforms and the wider open web, brands are being asked to provide more variations of creative, tailored to different retail partners, audience segments, channels, placements and points in the customer journey.

AI appears to offer an answer and it can resize assets, rewrite copy, adapt product imagery, produce video variations and personalise campaigns for different audiences at a speed that would previously have been impossible.

However, new research from WARC and LIONS Advisory, conducted in partnership with TikTok, suggests that using AI to increase creative output does not necessarily improve creative effectiveness.

Some 90% of marketers agree that AI has quickly become part of the creative toolkit, while 88% say generative AI has increased the volume of creative they produce. Yet only 45% say it has significantly improved creative quality.

Google Images gets Pinterest-like feed & AI image generation

The latest update, introduced as Google Images turns 25, expands the platform beyond image search to focus on browsing and visual discovery.

Google is redesigning Google Images as a personalised discovery platform, adding a browsable image feed, Collections and AI image generation within Search, according to a blog post shared by Google.

The update, announced as Google Images marks 25 years, shifts the platform beyond keyword-led image searches towards an experience centred on browsing and visual inspiration.

A new ‘For You’ section will recommend images based on users’ interests and browsing activity. The interface will support continuous scrolling and update recommendations as users browse.

The format draws comparisons with Pinterest, where users discover and organise visual ideas through personalised feeds. The redesign could also encourage users to spend more time within Google’s ecosystem for image discovery and creation rather than using third-party platforms.
