Reddit rolls out split testing to all advertisers
The feature allows marketers to run two ad variants and choose which campaign to focus on based on performance.
Reddit announced that its split testing option is generally available to all Reddit marketers. The news follows a test with selected ad partners over the past few months.
Reddit’s ad split testing will enable marketers to run two ad variants at the same time, in order to determine the best performer. Whichever ad does the best will then be the focus of an expanded campaign.
As explained by Reddit: “In one controlled experiment, you split your available audience at the user level, run two flights with just one variable changed, and get a clear winner declaration at 65% confidence. No overlap, no contamination, no guesswork.”
Reddit’s split tests can run for between two and six weeks, providing a solid response sample to reach that winning threshold.
Reddit split testing is available as a self-serve option within Reddit Ads Manager, so advertisers won’t need a Reddit ads contact to activate the option.
Meta quietly launches vibe-coded gaming app Pocket
Meta is getting into gaming with the launch of a new app called Pocket, which allows people to generate small, interactive apps and games using AI prompts. The software, a result of Meta’s acquisition of the team at the vibe-coded gaming platform Gizmo earlier this year, describes itself as “a creative platform for making and sharing gizmos,” which is what the interactive experiences are called. It also offers a scrollable feed where you can play with gizmos others have made.
Based on the app’s screenshots in Google Play, there are many similarities to Gizmo’s original app, which is still listed. Like Pocket, Gizmo also offers a way to use written AI prompts to build small, interactive experiences, and it includes a discovery feed.
Alessandro Paluzzi, a reverse engineer and regular spotter of new apps and features, first noticed the app’s launch this morning and published a Play Store screenshot of the app on X. According to data from app intelligence provider Appfigures, however, Pocket was first launched on June 29, 2026 on the App Store and Google Play. (Because of its newness, the firm can’t tell if it’s yet to see any downloads.)
LinkedIn introduces AI tools for ad creation and personalisation
The tools aim to address a common challenge for smaller businesses, where limited time and resources often make it difficult to produce multiple creative variations for advertising campaigns.
LinkedIn has introduced a set of AI-powered creative tools in Campaign Manager aimed at helping small and growing businesses create, personalise and test advertising campaigns more efficiently.
The new capabilities include Brand Kit, Draft with AI, Ads Personalisation, AI Ad Variants and Flexible Ad Creation. The tools are designed to help advertisers generate ad creatives, maintain brand consistency, personalise messages for different audiences and create multiple versions of ads for testing.
The tools aim to address a common challenge for smaller businesses, where limited time and resources often make it difficult to produce multiple creative variations for advertising campaigns.
LinkedIn’s internal analysis found that advertisers running five or more ad variants on the platform recorded more than 20% higher click-through rates than those running a single ad.
The Brand Kit feature allows advertisers to define brand elements such as colours, fonts, logos, tone of voice and key messages so AI-generated ads remain consistent with the brand.
Reddit is using LLMs to solve a problem LLMs largely created
It’s easier than ever for bad actors to spew spam across the internet as powerful large language models (LLMs) become effortlessly accessible. If you’ve spent about 10 minutes on the internet in the last few years, you will know that this means spam and bot content have become an even bigger problem than they already were.
Reddit says it developed tools with LLMs to cut down on spam, much of which was created with LLMs in the first place. It’s a bit ironic, but in the AI era, platforms have no choice but to fight fire with fire. According to the platform, Reddit blocks 23 million spam views per day and catches about 25,000 new spam posts and comments each day.
Social platforms have been building automated spam reduction tools for years, but Reddit says these updated tools are catching spam at a higher rate.
“We leverage LLMs to catch the highly subtle, coordinated patterns of fake behavior and artificial hype that older systems once missed,” a Reddit blog post says. The company claims it reduced users’ exposure to spam by 20% from January to March compared with the prior three months.
YouTube unveils ‘Gifts’ feature for vertical live streams in India
YouTube has introduced Gifts in India, a new feature designed to help creators engage with their audiences while creating an additional monetisation opportunity during vertical live streams.
The launch comes as India’s creator economy continues to expand. According to YouTube, the number of channels in the country earning seven figures or more in annual revenue (INR) has grown by more than 20% year over year. The platform also noted that 92% of surveyed Indian creators believe YouTube helps them build a strong community with their audiences.
With the rollout of Gifts, viewers can purchase Jewels in bundles and use them to send animated virtual Gifts to creators during eligible vertical live streams. These animations appear as overlays on the live stream, allowing viewers to express appreciation and interact with creators in real time.
Creators receive Rubies when viewers send Gifts, with the Rubies representing their earnings from the feature.
To mark the launch in India, YouTube has introduced a set of locally inspired virtual Gifts, including Vada Pav, Chai Toast, Pani Puri, Badhai Ho, Kem Cho, Macha, and All Izz Well. The company said it also plans to introduce seasonal Gifts in the future.
AI Generated Summaries in Search Ads
Quick Answer
AI-generated summaries in search ads are short AI-created explanations that may appear below paid Google Ads. These summaries are created by Google’s AI to give users more context before they click on an ad. This can affect ad visibility, user trust, click-through rate, and landing page performance.
Introduction
Google Search is no longer only about blue links, ad headlines, and organic rankings. AI is slowly becoming part of every search experience. After AI Overviews changed the way organic results appear, Google is now testing AI-generated summaries in search ads.
This means a paid ad may show extra AI-written information below the normal ad copy. The advertiser may not write this summary directly, but Google’s AI may create it based on the ad, landing page, and search intent.
For businesses, this is a major signal. Google Ads, SEO, landing page content, and AI search readiness are now more connected than ever.
If your business wants stronger search visibility, improving your website with professional SEO services in Mumbai can help your pages become clearer for users, search engines, and AI systems.
Google is testing AI-generated summaries in search ads, changing how paid ads may appear in search results.
What Are AI-Generated Summaries in Search Ads?
AI-generated summaries in search ads are extra pieces of text generated by Google’s AI and displayed near sponsored results. Their purpose is to help users understand what an ad or business offers before visiting the website.
These summaries may explain the service, product, offer, or page content in a simple way.
The important part is that the summary is not fully controlled by the advertiser. Google may generate it using available signals from the ad and landing page.
This makes landing page quality very important. If your page is unclear, outdated, or too generic, AI may not understand your offer correctly.
ChatGPT commands 92% of AI referral traffic
AI referrals are surging, volatile, and shaped by internal search, landing page fit, and Claude’s quiet rise, new data shows.
Twelve months ago, the industry was betting on which AI platform would win discovery. Perplexity looked like the search-native challenger. Copilot looked like the enterprise Trojan horse. Neither bet paid off.
Previsible (disclosure: I’m its CPO and co-founder) just published its third AI Traffic Study, analyzing 6.77 million LLM-driven sessions. The data shows consolidation. Monthly LLM sessions grew 9.9x, reaching 644,478 in May 2026. And 92.4% of that traffic comes from one platform.
The plateau was a pause
In mid-2025, AI traffic appeared to be peaking in some sectors. It wasn’t.
Sessions rose from 65,249 in November 2024 to 396,278 by August 2025, then dropped sharply in November 2025, before hitting new highs of 428,203 in February 2026 and 644,478 in May.
Thats the news from here, stay ahead with D-Talks! See you soon.
