Reddit expands Shopify integration with automated ad catalog syncing
The Shopify integration helps advertisers link product discussions to purchases, enabling merchants to connect their store with Reddit Ads for automatic catalog syncing and conversion tracking.
Reddit has rolled out a native Shopify integration for advertisers globally, allowing merchants to run Dynamic Product Ads (DPA) campaigns directly through their Shopify storefronts.
The integration is aimed at helping advertisers connect product-related discussions on Reddit with online purchases. Shopify merchants can link their Reddit Ads account with their Shopify store, enabling automatic syncing of product catalogs and conversion tracking.
The integration includes a codeless Reddit Pixel setup for tracking conversions, automated syncing of product information such as pricing, inventory and images, and a simplified account authorization process.
YouTube adds new podcast features, including an AI recommendation tool and ‘Auto speed’
YouTube announced on Thursday it’s introducing new podcast features for Premium users, including an AI-powered recommendation tool, an “Auto speed” setting, and a new on-the-go listening mode.
The update signals YouTube’s ongoing efforts to compete with other platforms for podcast audiences, especially as streaming giant Netflix is investing heavily in video podcasts. Additionally, by focusing on personalized discovery and hands-free listening features, the company also appears to be targeting users who consume podcasts on audio-first apps like Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
The Google-owned platform’s “Ask Music” feature already lets Premium users generate personalized radio stations and playlists, and now users will be able to get podcast recommendations based on genres, their current mood, or shows they already enjoy.
Users will also get access to a new “Auto speed” feature designed to make listening more efficient by intelligently adjusting playback speed during slower speech or information-dense segments, creating a more streamlined experience without sacrificing comprehension.

Delhi HC vs Google: Why Hindware ruling matters for online ads
The court has directed Google to pay Rs 30 lakh in damages to Hindware and barred it from profiting from trademarked keywords. Here’s what that means for brands and advertisers.
The Delhi High Court’s recent ruling in a trademark dispute brought by Hindware could significantly impact how Google handles keyword advertising in India.
The court has directed Google to pay Rs 30 lakh in damages to Hindware and barred it from using terms such as “Hindware”, “Hindware Sanitaryware”, “Hindware Sanitary” and “Hindware Sanitaryware India” as advertising keywords on its platform.
The case originated from a straightforward question: Can companies pay Google to display their advertisements when a user searches for the brand name of a competitor?
The Delhi High Court’s answer appears to be no.
Research reveals gap between visibility and believability in GEO
Burson, the global communications agency focused on creating value through reputation, has released The Credibility Paradox, a new report revealing significant variations in how audiences perceive and believe AI-generated answers about brands and companies. The research advances the conversation around Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), shifting the focus from visibility and source citations to the strategic challenge of building credibility and believability.
Based on more than 55,000 believability scores across 85 companies, the study found that the credibility of AI-generated responses varies significantly by audience, with business decision-makers rating answers 10% more believable on average than the general population.
“In today’s zero-click world, LLMs have become the new gatekeepers of reputation – how brands are discovered and evaluated. But visibility is not credibility,” said Corey duBrowa, CEO, Burson. “AI synthesises, summarises and delivers information directly to audiences. Appearing in these LLMs is necessary, but it is no longer sufficient. Our role is no longer just to make clients visible, but to build an evidence ecosystem so robust that the answers AI constructs are believable to the audiences that matter most. This research is our playbook for turning the credibility paradox into a competitive advantage.”
MakeMyTrip launches Creator Circle with Meta
MakeMyTrip has launched Creator Circle, a creator engagement programme developed in collaboration with Meta, aimed at expanding the role of travel creators in destination discovery and travel planning content.
The initiative comes as social media platforms continue to play a growing role in influencing travel decisions, with short-form videos and creator-generated content increasingly serving as sources of travel inspiration. Through Creator Circle, MakeMyTrip plans to work with a network of travel and lifestyle creators to produce content that combines destination insights, travel guidance and information based on traveller interests and trends.
The programme is open to creators with more than 10,000 followers who meet the company’s participation criteria. According to MakeMyTrip, creators will be rewarded based on the engagement generated by their content rather than the size of their audience, reflecting a shift toward performance-driven creator partnerships.
What Is FAST TV and Why Is TRAI Discussing New Rules?

This shift has now triggered a wider regulatory discussion in the country after the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) released a consultation paper seeking stakeholder views on whether internet-based linear television services including FAST platforms require a dedicated regulatory framework.
Key Highlights
- TRAI has released a consultation paper on regulating FAST TV and app-based linear television services in India
- FAST TV allows users to watch scheduled television channels over the internet free of cost with advertisements
- TRAI has broadly termed these services as Application-based Linear Television Distribution (ALTD) Services
- Cable TV and DTH operators argue that FAST platforms are operating under lighter regulatory conditions
- Industry stakeholders have raised concerns around regulatory parity and level playing field issues
- Some technology and streaming ecosystem players believe FAST services should not face DTH-style regulation
